An introduction to ceramics.

You’ll learn to handle clay by exploring some basic forming and joining techniques, get the chance to make your own stoneware cups, as well as designing and making your own unique ‘spirit vessel’. You’ll have input from Mike, whilst expressing yourself through your own chosen themes and designs.

You’ll even have the opportunity to get your own drawing converted into a 3D-printed stamp ready to use on your work.

Once your work has been ‘bisque’ fired you’ll be brought into the world of alchemy using glazes and oxides to add colour and texture to your work.

Following the final session, your work will be ‘glaze’ fired and will be ready for collection (before Christmas!) from TheOE.

Sessions will take place monthly for 3 months. Starting Saturday 10 October, 4 November + 9 December.
